Peter has a wide knowledge base having undertaken study in areas such as; law, arts, business/commerce, politics, industrial and employee relations and legal practice. Peter established Hartleys Lawyers in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs after a stint of advocacy in Regional Victoria.
Before joining Hartleys Lawyers, Nicci practiced as a Duty Lawyer for Victoria Legal Aid at Frankston, Dandenong, Melbourne and Moorabbin Courts.
Nicci practices in both Criminal Law and Family Law matters (including Children’s matters, Property matters, Intervention Orders and Wills and Estates). Nicci appears regularly at the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court. Nicci is available for interviews at our Sunshine and Melbourne CBD office for private and legally aided clients.
Nicole appears regularly as an advocate at the Federal Circuit Court and local and country Magistrates’ Courts.
Nicole undertakes both private and legal aid work and is available for appointments at Sunshine, Fitzroy and Moonee Ponds offices. Nicole also runs a dedicated Wills and Estates stream each alternate Friday.

Sonia has been practising at Hartleys Lawyers since 2005 and with over 10 years of experience was the first of the Hartleys team to be accepted onto Victoria Legal Aid’s Independent Children’s Lawyers panel.
Sonia is a highly experienced advocate, appearing frequently in the Family Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court and Magistrates Courts. As one of our most experienced advocates, Sonia is frequently briefed as in house counsel on complex family law matters.
Sonia is based at our Sunshine office and practices primarily in Family Law – Children’s matters. Her practice also includes Criminal Law, Intervention Orders, property matters, spousal maintenance and divorce.
Nicole came to Hartleys in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Laws in conjunction with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics.
Nicole is strongly engaged in the area of Family Law and practices in all areas comprising family law. Her practice includes; all Children’s issues, property matters, spousal maintenance, divorce, conveyancing, wills and estates and VOCAT matters.
Alexandra joined the Hartleys team in early 2016 and brings enthusiasm and passion in practicing law. Alexandra graduated in 2009 from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology and Socio –Legal studies and a Diploma in Music (Practical) majoring in Saxophone. Alexandra went on to complete the Juris Doctor Program with Honours at Monash University. Alexandra completed her one year traineeship at Slater and Gordon before moving on to a small suburban law firm working in general practice.
Alexandra gained a wealth of knowledge over the 3 years she was at the general practice firm finding her niche in family law before making her move to Hartleys. In addition to her work and studies Alexandra volunteered at the Western Suburbs Legal Service and Port Phillip Prison visitor assistance program.
Stephen joined the Hartleys team in 2016, after being admitted to practice in 2015. Stephen completed a double degree Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University in 2014. Shortly after, Stephen completed his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through the Leo Cussen Centre for Law.
Stephen has a passion for social justice and as such has enjoyed various volunteer roles in the community, having volunteered his time at Community Legal Centres in Melbourne as well as interstate. Stephen spent a month working full time with Aboriginal Legal Aid in the Northern Territory.
Stephen’s practice focuses predominantly on Family Law.
